Final e9 Reflection

THE ASSIGNMENT
My e9 final project was to create a product that everyone would need to use in the real world. We were put into groups of about 4 people to all agree on one product everyone thought was good. My group came up with Polychrome Clothing. Polychrome is a shirt and sweatshirt that you can change the color of in a push of a button on your phone! This project took a while to come up with all of the different parts to create our product and present it to the people. It took about 9 weeks to complete everything though.

There were some bumps in the road but we fixed them. My group started out in Animation which was probably one of the harder sections to start at, but we made it through. We had a logo which we thought we would use but then we came up with a different one that had an actual color scheme and everything to make up a logo. Along the entire 9 weeks I have learned that you have to be open minded to everyones thoughts and opinions that can go into your product.

THE PROCESS
In the end of our presentation, some feedback we got back is that people would use it and thought the price was a good amount for just one shirt for the rest of your life. Also, the flow of our presentation was pretty good to. Now some things we changed was the logo which was at first like a stain glass looking thing but then into a sun with Polychrome underneath it. My overall thoughts on my work for 4th quarter, is pretty good. I created the banner and both logos which I enjoyed doing. I enjoy doing graphic design things so this was one of my hobbies of doing and I was excited to come to e9 everyday. On the flip side, our team as a whole had our strengths. We all worked together well when it came to coming up with ideas. Finally, when there were things to work on on the website, everyone got to do what they choose to and liked to do.

HOW IT WENT
My team as a whole did pretty well working together. We all met the deadlines mostly on time. I did ask if I could do anything to help out in finishing our website and was told no. I was left with 2 weeks left working on our website when we had a lot to finish and nobody wanted my help. Also at times, when it came to crunch time and there was help needed in different areas and people did get a little side tracked. Some people would just stop completely and start to watch random things or talk to others. Someone just went onto social media's, like Instagram and Pinterest every 10 minutes everyday it was time to work. I tried to talk to people saying we need to stay on task with nobody listening. In the end, I feel like we should have tried to stay on task everyday better.

FINAL THOUGHTS
In my final thoughts, I feel like everything went good and better than others. The most I liked about this project was the designing portion of it all. I really like doing graphic design things, so the website part was super fun for me. I enjoyed working together on this project and this project as a whole. The thing I would change differently would be, how we used our time to work on this project. A goal I will set for next year would be, to try and set a goal everyday and finish it everyday after class. Finally, I enjoyed e9 all year and experienced many different things. It was a good new learning experience for me and I can't wait to learn more throughout the rest of my high school years!
